Let Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics begin!
Beijing, 4th-20th of February 2022
We wish our team Italy all the best as they prepare to compete in the 24th edition of the Winter Olimpic Games with many exceptional athletes!
We don't give up celebrating, as long as we are protected
Here at BLS we would like to share with you some moments of the Opening Ceremony that has seen 91 National Olympic Committees parading with particular attention to the Italian team. It is an opportunity to discover Chinese culture through music, song, dance and fireworks on the stage of the Beijing National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest.
The same venue will put on a show in a fortnight' time at the Closing Ceremony, when the Olympic flag will be handed over to the mayors of the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina D'Ampezzo, the hosts of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Symbols that never die
Along with the Opening Ceremony, the last leg of the Olympic torch relay along the Great Wall of China, called Badaling and 1.47 km long, was completed.
"Health-Joy-Energy is the motto of the relay that began on 2 February with a ceremony at the Olympic Forest Park in Beijing, attended by more than 300 athletes, students, volunteers and community residents."
This relay is one of the most important symbols of the Games, recalling the importance of peace as key value of the Olympic movement..
In this edition, the Olympic torch bears the name 'Flying' (飞扬 Fei Yang), which is meant to pay tribute to the city of Beijing, the first to host both the Summer (2008) and Winter Olympic Games.

BLS loves Art and figure skating
To celebrate the upcoming 2026 Olympics, we share with you the work signed Stefania Marchetto, in art SteReal, and dedicated to the 2026 Winter Olympics, an urban, cultural and social redevelopment project by Corba Cinquecerchi for the historic Lorenteggio district in Milan.
BLS, with its BLS Loves Art initiative, chose to support the creation of this work, which enhances one of the best-loved winter Olympic disciplines by offering a glimpse into the role of women in sports and competitive disciplines.
The project's partners include Cromology Italia and Clash.

Figure skating on ice, during the Opening Ceremony day had ten skaters from the men's short singles programme skating first, followed by the ice dancing pairs and then the pairs.
Victorious Italy and italian safety
Italy has won 16 medals with strength and passion.
As breathing safety professionals, it is important for us to see our athletes alert and protected.
There is nothing more important than our breath and that is why it needs to be protected, especially when the health of your own body is essential in order to participate in the most important sport competition in the world.
Many women's medals
Female medals for our national team in this edition!
We are first in Curling with Stefania Costantini and Amos Mosaner and in Short track with Arianna Fontana.

Here is Fontana, the fastest short track skater in the world, protecting herself with the other athletes on podium.
Silver won by Francesca Lollobrigida in speed skating, Federica Brignone in the women's giant slalom and Sofia Goggia in the women's downhill.
Three bronze medals also for Dorothea Wierer in the women's biathlon, Nadia Delago in the women's downhill and Federica Brignone in the combined alpine skiing.

Look at the winners of silver and bronze medals in the women's downhill: they are Sofia Goggia and Nadia Delago.
And then again silver medals for Michela Moioli and Omar Visintin in Mixed Snowboarding and bronze for Davide Ghiotto in Speed Skating.

More victories await us!
We congratulate you all and continue watching you together.
