Our Merry Christmas is a smile that comes out of a mask.

Running alongside the conclusion of Milan Design Week, which is dressing up its main avenues for the Fuori Salone del Mobile event, the biggest graffiti and street art festival in Italy will come to life colouring and inspiring the walls of Trezzano sul Naviglio (MI).
The city of Milan has always catalysed the buzz of innovation in many fields, proving to be at the cutting edge of art, music, technology and industry. For BLS, this event is an extraordinary opportunity to fortify that bridge between art and industry that contributes to spreading a culture of respiratory health at work.
The main characters will be the b-lock half masks with protection against gases, vapours and particulates.

After a two-year stop, Milan will host the international festival, bringing together 100 writers and street artists from 20 countries around the world in the new location between the Ugo Tognazzi Centre in Via Castoldi and the perimeter walls of the renowned Vetropack glassworks in Via San Cristoforo.
This year, the We Run The Streets association will work in synergy with the Grupifh association (Group for the Promotion of Initiatives for the Handicapped).
The 'Urban Giants' event will be integrated into the 'Birreficenza' event, which is a fundraising tool for activities in favour of the frail.
Over the two days of the event, as well as being able to watch the artists at work for free, free painting workshops will be organised for adults and children, also in synergy with the Dynamo Campm Foundation, and Art Painting of scrapped skateboards with Maxi Sport as well as live music and DJ sets.

In the BLS Blog article 'Health risks of painting', we described the main respiratory health effects that can occur in the case of individuals regularly exposed to harmful substances released into the air during this activity. The work situations characterised by exposure to these agents span the world of murals, which often make use of high-risk spray paints, to the woodworking, automotive, shipbuilding and metalworking industries, just to mention the main ones.
Directive 2004/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerns the protection of workers from risks to their health and safety arising from exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work.

Urban Giants was born in 2018 from the path and experience of the cultural association We Run the Street which, after having organised in Milan 4 consecutive editions of the famous international Festival Meeting of Styles, has decided to take an individual path with its own event. The event wants and must be a gathering of people of different cultures and ethnicities, as well as style, in 3 days of drawing, dancing, singing and sport in an urban context where the union of different nations leads to a real explosion of creativity combined with the curiosity and participation of the local and neighbouring population as well as visitors from the rest of Italy.
