Why can't traditional spectacles be used with full face masks?

Full face masks are designed to fit snugly over the face, creating a seal that prevents contaminated air from entering. Spectacles with side arms interrupt this fit, creating potentially dangerous leaks. In practice, wearing normal spectacles under a full face mask means nullifying the protection offered by the PPE.

The solution: internal frames for corrective lenses

To remedy this problem, a specific solution is used in the occupational safety sector: the use of dedicated internal frames, specially designed to fit inside the mask.

These frames:

• They have no temples, so they do not interfere with the fit of the mask.

• They are compatible with most corrective lenses, which are fitted by your optician.

• They clip directly onto the inside of the mask body via special guides or grooves, remaining firmly in place even during prolonged use.
